Can a beginner hike Alum Cave Trail?
Absolutely. This is a fun trail with lots to see and kids enjoy it. Your kids should have a little bit of hiking history as I would not make hiking all the way to Mount LeConte their first experience. If your family has beginner hikers, plan on only doing half of the trail and turn around when you reach Alum Cave.
