We have finally come out of the bad weather, every plague we have caught, the trailer is repaired and school is out which means it is time to get out adventuring! In just over a week we will be hopping a flight across the pond to Jolly Old England to visit our family. While we are there we are going to be renting a narrowboat and cruising the channels through the country side and (the thing my husband might be most excited about) relaxing with a pint at the end of the day. We will make sure to let you know all of the ins and outs on that adventure as soon as we have had it! We are super excited to work the locks and travel at a blistering 4mph through amazing scenery!
We also plan to visit castles and gardens, I imagine we will check out museums (so they can continue to tell me how old everything is!), we are checking out an Aqua Park and we are going to take in 2 shows in London: “Matilda” and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”. We have never been to the theater in London, so this will be an amazing experience indeed! Keep an eye out for our reviews!
From here the lad and I are off to my second and most beloved country – Switzerland. I am positively bursting with excitement to go back. We will be visiting friends and family here and having some hikes and fresh air and checking out various points of interesting. But mainly seeing people we love and eating the food I fell in love with 25 years ago! I can’t not believe it has actually been 25 years ago since I stepped onto an airplane that took me away from everyone I loved for a whole year. I came home with so much more than I left behind and most of it was still there waiting for me. The experience changed my life and I feel more myself in this country than anywhere else in the world. Travel is such and amazing and wonderful thing.
Once we return to the US we will be planning some camping trips and I am still trying to work out where our annual Mom/Son camping will take us. Any suggestions? I feel like we need something new. Maybe we will head north for a change and check out some of the amazing campgrounds and hiking in Washington.
Stay tuned to hear about our adventures! We will also be posting pictures on our Instagram feed (@hkwt_pnw) and on Twitter (@HkWTd_PNW). And tell us in the comments where you are off to this summer!
