Favorite: The Kid’s Guide to Grand Teton National Park

Starting next week, I will be doing reviews on campgrounds in Grand Teton National Park. To kick start our Grand Teton Week, I wanted to tell you about one of the favorite things we picked up on our trip. The Kid’s Guide to Grand Teton National Park! This book is awesome! It sells for about $5.99 (if I remember right) at the gift shops in Grand Teton National Park, and gives parents and kids loads of information about the park and what you can see. It engages the kids, and can make mom and dad feel pretty smart being able to explain things (by reading ahead a little bit!).

It is broken up into several sections – animals, plants, birds, etc.

There are historical facts and explanations about the different locations and tells you about the Visitors Centers where you can stamp your book! That was really fun for the Lad. Since we got our book at Jenny Lake and had already been to Colter Bay, we will need to go back for that stamp and the one at Flagg Ranch.

I wish all of the National Parks did this! The book is a great resource and a good bit of fun!
